
Pichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai in India,[4] Pichai graduated at IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. After moving to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. He was awarded a Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also obtained an MBA from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania. After a brief time at McKinsey and Co. as an executive consultant, Pichai was recruited by Google in 2004 to lead the product management and innovation for various Google's client products. This comprised ChromeOS and ChromeOS. He also managed Google Drive. Pichai also oversaw the development of Google Maps, Gmail, and other apps. Pichai made public in 2010 that Google had made the video codec VP8 available to the public and also introduced WebM an entirely new video format. The Chromebook came out in 2012. Pichai further added Android to the Google products he managed in 2013.
