Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on September 6, 1964) is an American actress choreographer, dancer and activist. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance as Tina in Fearless (1993) has earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Perez has appeared in a number of films since the time, including It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) as well as another nomination for her role in The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). Her roles have included Broadway stage plays , including The Ritz and Frankie, Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. She also co-hosted The View's 18th season on ABC's talk show The View. She attended Grover Cleveland High School, located in the Ridgewood neighborhood in Queens. [11] By 1999 her mother was in poverty in the Woodside Houses, when she died from complications of AIDS.
